Some time ago, we had the pleasure to work once again for Eames Office.
This time, our mission was to bring back to life the iconic THE EAMES TOY by Charles and Ray Eames, first released in 1951.
The main task was to research and experiment with different modern, technical materials to produce the colorful structure panels. One could think that we would have a large variety of options these days comparing to the 50s. Funny enough, after going literally through ALL of them, we’ve end up choosing water-resistant phthalate free vinyl. The same choice as Charles and Ray finally settled with in the 50s.
